Zhiyuan Teo
Bio: Zhiyuan Teo is a 5th
year PhD candidate at the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University,
where he specializes in software-defined networking. His thesis investigates
techniques of modernizing Ethernet to improve the performance, reliability and
security aspects of data networking without requiring change or awareness from
network clients.
As a side interest, he has recently
become quite active with automotive electronics, microcontrollers and hardware
prototyping. Some of the projects he had worked on includes a biometric
wireless pen drive, a chocolate 3D printer, an FPGA gesture-controlled iPod
music dock and a car computer dashboard replacement. He has passion for C/C++,
rapid prototyping, FPGAs, data networking, operating systems design and graphics.
