--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CALL FOR PAPERS The IEEE International Workshop on SDN and IoT (SDN-IoT 2016) June 6, 2016 in Seoul Korea http://sdn-iot2016.umkc.edu In conjunction with the IEEE Conference on Network Softwarization (NetSoft 2016) June 6-10, 2016 in Seoul Korea http://sites.ieee.org/netsoft/ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SCOPE Internet-of-Things (IoT) rapidly penetrates and transforms our everyday life. With recent advancements in sensing, communication and big-data technologies, new devices are being deployed as IoT networks that have the potential to be deployed broadly and at extremely large scale. However, IoT poses many challenges such as scale and complexity of data and device managements. Software-defined networking (SDN) and network orchestration will meet IoT in the near future to address those challenges. This workshop will bring together researchers and practitioners to present their latest achievements and innovations in the area of SDN and IoT. TOPICS OF INTEREST Authors are invited to submit papers that fall into the area of SDN and IoT covering novel research results, case studies and applications in related areas of interest. Potential topics include, but are not limited to: .Use cases for SDN and IoT .Services enabled through SDN for IoT networks .IoT security and privacy through SDN .IoT device management .IoT data management .IoT resource management .IoT policy management .SDN powered mobile edge computing .Softwarization of IoT devices .IoT enabling technologies .Dependable IoT applications and services for e-health, smart cars, smart manufacturing and smart city .IoT experimental results PAPER SUBMISSION Authors are invited to submit only original papers (written in English) not published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers can be up to 6 pages. Papers should be in IEEE 2-column, 10pt font, US-Letter style using IEEE Conference templates (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html) and submitted in PDF format via JEMS at: https://jems.sbc.org.br/sdn-iot2016. Papers exceeding these limits, multiple submissions, and self-plagiarized papers will be rejected without further review. All submitted papers will be subject to a peer-review process. The accepted papers will be published in the SDN-IoT Workshop 2016 Proceedings and appear in IEEE XploreŽ. IMPORTANT DATES . Paper Submission: February 14, 2016 .
